S’pore singer Nathan Hartono got COVID-19 but did not get sick
SINGAPORE — Singer Nathan Hartono came down with COVID-19 last week but did not experience symptoms and tested negative for the coronavirus within two days.
30-year-old Hartono posted a photo of his positive ART test result on 16 March and wrote:
Joined the club of positivity a week ago. Weirdly disappointing cuz it only lasted 2 days with no symptoms. Did I get defective covid or something.
Hope everyone’s keeping well, take care ❤️
COVID-19 infections rose in Singapore in February amid a wave of Omicron cases. Several government leaders and celebrities have contracted the viral disease, including Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen and actors Rui En, Xu Bin, Mark Lee and Hayley Woo.
The Omicron variant of COVID-19 is more contagious than Delta, but generally causes less severe disease.
With 92 per cent of the total population fully vaccinated and 70 per cent boosted, most infected persons have mild or no symptoms and are recovering at home.
